Part of the Milkwood
group since 2005, Applewood offers short- or long-term residential care
for the elderly. As an EMI-registered home, we’re able to provide
specialist care for the mildly confused.

A former manor house, known as Bramley Dene,
Applewood has been carefully modernized to provide accommodation for 38
residents, male and female, over the age of 65. Its 32 single and three
double rooms, many with views over the gardens, are on two floors, with
passenger and stair lifts making the house suitable for wheelchair
users. All public areas are non-smoking. |
Light and airy, Applewood has two
comfortably furnished communal lounges with televisions, video and music
centres. There is also a quiet room, adjacent to the entrance, for use
by residents and visitors. Meals are served in the large, bright
conservatory. The house, which retains many of its original features, is
surrounded by newly-established gardens, giving it a peaceful, secluded
atmosphere.
Our fully-qualified staff provide the very highest standards of care to
our resident 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
We have an enthusiastic support team, providing a broad programme of
structured activities, including reminiscence therapy, musical movement,
flower arranging and other crafts that residents can join in as and when
they wish. Applewood has the use of a company minibus, and staff
organize regular visits and outings.
A home full of character, Applewood combines the convenience of a
village setting with modern comforts, tranquillity and privacy.
